Oseltamivir Phosphate

Oseltamivir phosphate is an antiviral neuraminidase inhibitor used to treat acute, uncomplicated influenza in patients 2 weeks of age and older who have been symptomatic for no more than 48 hours. It is also used for the prophylaxis (prevention) of influenza in patients 1 year of age and older.

Dosage by Body Weight

For maximum efficacy, treatment should begin within 48 hours of influenza symptom onset. For treatment, it is typically administered twice daily for 5 days. For prophylaxis, it is administered once daily for at least 10 days.
